About me

My approach is to listen, facilitate understanding of the reasons behind the struggle and by working together, determine what works best for you.

Why do people turn to Counselling?

They may be:

  • struggling with emotions such as sadness, anger or loneliness
  • experiencing a loss or in the process of losing someone close
  • going through a relationship breakdown
  • redundant or finding themselves unemployed
  • experiencing feelings of being disconnected from friends and family
  • general dissatisfaction with life
  • depressed / lacking in confidence

It is often difficult to share these feelings and thoughts with those we love and those who are closest to us.

As an Integrative Therapist my aim is to listen in a way that enables you to feel heard and  supported.

Although you may not realise it, you probably already have the answers, because nobody knows you like you do.

Counselling can feel like a big step and it takes courage to talk about your fears. My experience has been that once a person is able to take that step, positive changes can be brought about that enable people to have a greater understanding of themselves and improve communication in their relationships bringing about a calmer more focused way of life.

I can offer you a calm, safe, confidential setting, in which I will listen and we can explore your feelings and thoughts together. This will give you time to identify how past and present situations may be influencing the difficulties you are experiencing now.

I will draw upon a range of therapeutic approaches that best uniquely suit you, enabling you to recognise new ways of dealing with difficulties.

I can encourage you to learn more about yourself and determine your strength’s, so you can find a way forward..

My approach therefore is to listen, facilitate your understanding of the reasons behind the struggle and by working together determine what works best for you.
